ChallengeDuring Ramadan, a highly emotional and commercial moment, the challenge was to make BYD SEALION 5 do more than release a seasonal greeting or promotion. It had to enter the real life context of GCC families: night journeys, family visits, desert gatherings and returning home at dawn. For BYD, the task was to translate a Chinese new-energy SUV into a natural part of local Ramadan life.
InsightRamadan is not a static set of festive symbols. It reorganizes family relationships and the rhythm of night life. In the Gulf, many emotional moments happen in motion: picking up family, heading to gatherings, crossing the city at night, arriving at desert camps and returning home at dawn. For a car brand, the vehicle becomes a mobile space that connects family, friends and ritual.
SolutionWe turned BYD’s Ramadan communication from a greeting film into a complete Ramadan night journey. The story follows night movement: waiting in the city, family getting into the car, intimate in-car moments, desert gatherings and returning home in the morning. The vehicle is not forced into the role of hero. It becomes the space that carries reunion, connection and festive movement.
